Thank you for your support of the " Keeping Time" Campaign!
January is Alzheimer's Month...
The Ennis Sisters & Elizabeth Burry Design in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland & Labrador, have created the " Keeping Time" bracelet to bring awareness to Alzheimer's Disease.
NOTE: Due to circumstances beyond our control a minor change is necessary, the black onyx are round beads not tube as shown in the 3 hands image
Proceeds from your purchase of a "Keeping Time" bracelet generously support the initiative's of the Alzheimer Society in providing help for today and hope for tomorrow though programs and services.
Maureen, Karen & Teresa Ennis as well as Elizabeth have all lost their Fathers to dementia. They hope through this project to bring more awareness to Alzheimer's disease while assisting those that are on the dementia journey in Newfoundland & Labrador.
The bracelet was thoughtfully created so those affected by Alzheimer's disease would appreciate and reflect on the messages & meanings incorporated into the design, while understanding each family's story is unique and personal.....
The meaning behind the gemstones:
Howlite- this black & white stone is considered a calming stone, used to relieve anger & relieve stress.
Rose Quartz: Called the "heart stone" and a crystal of unconditional love. It carries a soft feminine energy of compassion and peace, tenderness & healing; nourishment & comfort. It's gentle pink essence is a symbol of hope .
Labradorite: Ironically it is the Provincial stone of Newfoundland & Labrador. Known as the "Stone of Magic" represents deeper, hidden realms beneath the everyday world. It is a powerful protector against negativity and misfortunes. It provides safe exploration into alternate levels of consciousness & in facilitating visionary experiences from the past or future.
Black Onyx: is the stone of self control, decision making & intuition. It is one of the most powerful stones of protection & it absorbs negative energy of people to relieve mental stress & promote emotional well-being
The significance of the design:
In addition to the stones themselves the colors are very meaningful.
Inspired by the beautiful cover of the Ennis Sister's new album "Keeping Time" The black and white represent the colors of music such as notes & piano keys. When words fail, music provides a way for a person living with dementia to connect with others and engage through memories and emotions. The pink universally represents hope.
The 3 strands of the bracelet & 3 stone patterns represent past, present & future.
A strand for the person before the onset of Alzheimer's disease, a strand for their life during the dementia journey & a strand for where they are now...…..with us today or at peace.
Combined the 3 strands represent togetherness and together we hope to find a cure....
The " Keeping Time " Bracelet is made with expandable jewelry garter. For a correct fit order the bracelet that matches the EXACT circumference of your wrist without adding additional space.
